Day 1
Seoul
Arrive in Seoul and settle into your accommodation. In the evening, you will join your group for a welcome dinner and program orientation. This is your opportunity to meet your facilitators, review the upcoming schedule, and get your first introduction to Korea’s green innovation landscape.
Day 2
Seoul
Begin your exploration of Korea’s capital with a guided walking tour of downtown Seoul. Visit the Cheonggyecheon Stream restoration site and the Seoul Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. In the afternoon, attend a cultural orientation that includes an introduction to Korean customs and sustainability values.

Seoul
Tour the Korea Environment Corporation or a similar national agency to learn about Korea’s green growth strategy. You will explore how public policy, infrastructure, and data contribute to climate mitigation and urban resilience.
Day 4
Seoul
Explore the circular economy in action with a visit to a smart recycling centre, food waste facility, or industrial upcycling project. In the afternoon, attend a talk or site visit hosted by an environmental NGO or social enterprise focused on sustainable consumption.

Dive into clean mobility systems with visits to a smart transport lab or hydrogen vehicle showcase. You will examine how Korea is implementing low-emissions mobility solutions across public and private sectors.

Spend the day at a university or tech incubator for a series of guest lectures or interactive sessions. Topics may include urban data systems, sustainable product design, or digital innovation for climate solutions.

Join a field visit to the Gwanghwamun district or Han River area to explore how nature, leisure, and liveability intersect in Korea’s green urban design. In the evening, attend a cultural performance or traditional market for a local experience.

Seoul → Songdo → Seoul
Take a day trip to Songdo International Business District, often described as a city of the future. You will tour smart buildings, sustainability infrastructure, and planning institutions to understand how data and architecture support low-carbon lifestyles. Return to Seoul in the evening.
Day 9

Learn about Korea’s food and energy resilience through a visit to an urban farm, green building site, or vertical agriculture project. The afternoon is yours to explore local cultural sites, museums, or eco-conscious neighbourhoods at your own pace.
Day 10
Seoul → Jeju
Fly to Jeju Island, South Korea’s southernmost province and a leader in carbon-neutral development. After arrival and check-in, take part in a welcome session that introduces the island’s renewable energy targets and sustainability initiatives.

Jeju
Tour wind or solar energy installations and learn about Jeju’s decarbonisation roadmap. In the afternoon, explore the island’s volcanic landscapes with a guided visit to a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you will connect ecological conservation to tourism and heritage protection.
Day 12
Jeju
Visit an environmental research centre or community-based project that focuses on marine ecology or sustainable fisheries. In the evening, enjoy a group dinner with locally sourced ingredients, highlighting Jeju’s slow food and sustainability culture.
Day 13

Conclude your experience with a full-day reflection and cultural immersion. Take part in a traditional craft activity or nature walk, followed by a facilitated group discussion. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner to celebrate your time in Korea.

Check out and prepare for onward travel. You will depart with a deeper understanding of how innovation, policy, and culture converge to shape South Korea’s sustainability future.
