Redefining study tours through impact, responsibility, and real-world change

At the heart of every study tour is a guiding principle: education should never come at the expense of our planet. Through our partnership with everclime, each booking contributes to verified projects that create measurable environmental and social impact, connecting your study tour to something far greater than the journey itself.

This year, contributions support the Underwater Cinema Project in Timor-Leste, a live initiative already creating meaningful change on the ground. Working with local communities, the project uses underwater storytelling to inspire ocean conservation and environmental awareness, combining education, conservation, and direct engagement with one of the world’s most biodiverse marine environments. Funding supports snorkelling experiences and beach clean-ups in Dili and Manatuto, delivers ocean education workshops to 20 schools, and invests in long-term marine ecosystem protection and community empowerment.

Each student receives a personalised digital Impact Card, providing a transparent record of the tangible outcomes their study tour helps make possible.

The Story Behind Underwater Cinema

Underwater Cinema is a volunteer-led initiative driven by young Timorese people who are deeply committed to protecting their marine environment. In Timor-Leste, despite being surrounded by ocean, many communities have limited access to and understanding of life below the surface. The project is working to change this by creating opportunities for young people to experience the ocean firsthand, building both knowledge and a lasting connection to their environment.

Through snorkelling experiences and beach clean-ups, participants are introduced to the importance of marine ecosystems in a way that is practical, engaging, and locally led. This approach not only raises awareness but also fosters a sense of responsibility and pride in protecting the natural environment for future generations.
